I will give thanks to the Lord because of His righteousness I will sing the praises of the name of the Lord Most High. – Psalm 7:7
When was the last time something unfair happened to you? How did you react? You probably have noticed by now that we all have a God-given desire for righteousness to prevail; for fairness to triumph. God’s righteousness encompasses two key aspects of His divine nature,, both of which are worthy of praise: His goodness and His justice. Can you think of time when God righted a wrong in your life? These situations build our faith.
There are many things however, that may not be made right in this life. But we can trust that God’s righteousness is not far off.
“Listen to me, you stubborn-hearted, you who are now far from my righteousness. I am bringing my righteousness near; it is not far away; and my salvation will not be delayed.” Isaiah 46:12-13
Thank Him for His goodness! God is righteousness and He will triumph over evil in the end.
